GirlGoneGood Wellness + Wilderness
The driving forces behind GirlGoneGood® are:
- helping others find new trails to explore
- encouraging respectful/smart hiking
- wellness and mental health
- supporting local/small business/community
- paying it forward
Admittedly a ridiculous business name, yet kinda catchy and has slowly made a name for itself. The website started in 2012 to showcase travels and smoothies mostly, and boy, have we grown.

Vickie (Walsh) Lanthier
I’m a 14 yr military veteran who works as an IT consultant by day, completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2020, and runs GirlGoneGood® in my spare time. Admittedly sounds like an odd mix of interests; however adventure, media, and health are the backbone of GirlGoneGood®.
As a frequent wanderer and avid day hiker with over 20 yrs experience, I understand how intimidating new trails can be if you don’t have all the information to properly prepare. The resources here help bridge that gap so that you can experience the immense benefit to our well- being that nature provides, while engaging in safe and responsible recreation.
