Lemonlike Twist: Vitamin Packed Probiotic Drink

vitaminSince I was a little girl, I’ve strongly disliked taking vitamins.  I can still remember crushing them with a spoon and then mixing it with a little honey.  Mock me at will, but I did this I right into my twenties. Ok, ok, thirties too.

What can I say, pills give me an upset stomach! **shrugs shoulders** Anyone else like this?!?!

If so, oh honey, do I have a delicious nutrient dense, dairy free, gluten free drink recipe for you!

When it came time again that I needed vitamin supplementation to help combat adrenal insufficiency, it was darn good karma that I stumbled upon Pranin Organic.  Finally vitamins in powder form, easily digestible and didn’t hurt my stomach to take.

Then I discovered The Cultured Coconut‘s coconut kefir that is not only an incredibly potent probiotic (over 300 billion CFU and more than 50+ strains) but also wonderfully delicious on it own!

Hmmm, but have you ever tasted greens powders? Not always the most palatable on their own for some.  Thankfully Pranin Organic vitamins are pretty good!  If I were making smoothies I’d say that raspberries or pineapple cuts the taste best but it just so happens that I’m participating in a Whole30 this month and smoothies are off the table.

Solution? A mixed morning vitamin drink that leaves me happy my friends!

Ingredients
  • ½ cup full fat coconut milk
  • ½ cup coconut water or water
  • ¼ lemon (juice only)
  • 1-2 tbsp The Cultured Coconut coconut kefir
  • 1 tsp Pranin Organic A to Z PureFood
  • 1 scoop Pranin Organic PureFood B
  • 1 scoop Pranin Organic PureFood C
  • 1 scoop Pranin Organic PureFood Iron
  • ½ tsp TrueBee Honey bee pollen
Instructions
  1. Combine and blend well. Top with bee pollen if desired.

It’s surprisingly delish and exactly what’s needed to get through my days. It tastes a bit like a lemon creamsicle? Mmm, I dunno, might just be me. Ha ha, but I enjoy it!  If you need vitamins and probiotics in your life for health reasons then you might as well have the best and enjoy consuming them.
