Blueberry Lime Smoothie

Who is going through an ‘every needs lime in it’ phase? *hand raised* Yup, this girl.  It’s refreshing, and in this ‘wear a ponytail and sports gear everyday cause you’re going to sweat like a champ’ humidity we need refreshing! Did I ever mention I don’t have AC in my car? Balls. #firstworldproblems So ya, lime in everything.

This one is quickly becoming a favourite and the ingredients will make you swoon. Well, they make me swoon. Some instagramers love it. I dunno. Maybe you’ll swoon.  Just try it.  I dare you not to swoon over this smoothie. 😉

Serves: 1 serving
  • 1 cup plain or blueberry kefir
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  1. Blend and enjoy!
  2. Optional: ½ cup oatmeal

Blueberry Lime Smoothie

I almost feel like saying ta-da!!! Ha ha. So what’s so great about this smoothie?  Besides the fact that it’s light and seriously great tasting, it has kefir which is great for gut health, ground flax which is great for brain health, the ooomph of protein to start the day off strong, and the antioxidant powers of blueberries. 🙂
